Back on Track

I am back home for almost a week now and I am totally back on track again. I just hope that I will be able to sleep better this week because I still wake up super early every morning.

Since I am back I make sure to drink a gallon of water (3.7 litres) a day and I eat every three hours. This helped me a lot. I will keep doing this for the next few weeks and I will start working on my arms, shoulders and legs twice a week. My butt and legs are were I store my fat and I have a really hard time building muscle on my arms. I will try this out and see if it will help.

My countdown for my photo-shoot started and I have a little bit over a month left ;-). I will keep my treat meals but won't go as crazy and maybe I won't do them every week. Not sure yet! My sister will probably visit me in May so I will work around that too :-)!

Plus of course it is our last month for the "get bikini ready" challenge. I hope you are still with me!

My favourite of the week

Over the last few years I tried so many protein powders. Unfortunately most of the time they upset my stomach and or I just don't like how they taste.
After hearing so many good things about NLA For Her I gave it a try and ordered the Ultimate Stack for her and I got it the day I got back from Switzerland (perfect timing!).
Of course I tried it out right away and I LOVE it! I got the chocolate eclair flavour and it is so good! I definitely will order some other flavours from NLA For Her! So this is "My Favourite of the week".

Switzerland

I am back in South Carolina. As always my time back home went by way too fast but I enjoyed every single moment of it!

We started with a Baby shower for my sister Stephanie. Of course I enjoyed a mini cupcake ;-)!
I turned 30 years old and celebrated with my family. It was an amazing day!
I went to Konstanz, Germany with my mum and two sisters for some quality time and shopping ;-). 
 They have amazing coffee shops everywhere with cake's and other delicious treats.
I tried to keep in shape with running outside. But I was very busy so I worked out only 4 times in the two weeks in Switzerland.
I weighted myself this morning and I gained 1.4 pounds (0.6 kg). If I consider everything I ate and drank this is nothing. But I will kick my butt over the next few weeks because I have my photo shoot coming up ;-)!

My favourite of the week!

Today is my Birthday :-). I am turning 30 years old....crazy how fast time flies! I am supper happy because I will celebrate this special day with my family! Unfortunately my husband can't be here :-( but we will celebrate later.

A few months ago we went to Atlanta for a long weekend and I got spoiled. My husband made one of my fashion dreams come true and bought me this beautiful classic Christian Louboutins. I wanted a pair for a really long time and he bought me this for my Birthday. I did have them in my closet for a while but today will be the first time I will wear them :-). So this is "my favourite of the week".

Switzerland here I come ;-)!

There was no prep cooking this weekend or grocery shopping. I made sure I finished everything in the fridge that can go bad, packed and bought some snacks for my trip to Switzerland.

I am so excited to see my family and friends again. The last time I was home was over a year ago! I do feel home in Canada but landing in Zuerich, hearing Swiss German and taking the train to the city I grew up in is just such an other feeling of HOME!

I will be on vacation and I have a lot going on in the time I am in Switzerland but I am still planning my workouts. Today I got up extra early to go to the gym before a long day of travelling. Tuesday I will see how I feel. If I have some energy I will go for an easy run. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I will workout for sure! I will switch it up between runs and sprints each day and I will do some body weight exercises like lunges, squats and push ups. My parents house is close to a forest and there is a cool trail with stairs and exercises on the way. My workouts will be between 30-45 minutes.

In the time I am away I will also make sure that I will drink enough water. I know with a Baby Shower, my Birthday, trip to Germany and a getaway with my best friend Simone I won't be as good with food and alcohol ;-). But hopefully it won't get too crazy!

My favourite of the week!

Music is often my motivation at the gym. I can push myself even harder with the right music and I love doing cardio with it. "My favourite of the week" are this beats by dr. dre headphones that I got a few months ago and I love them. They are super soft, don't hurt my ears and they have different colours to choose from. I of course :-) chose pink!
 They come in a very practical case and are awesome for travelling too!
One of my favourite songs (still) is Work by Britney Spears. It pushes me every single time ;-)

Tuna salad

We have amazing weather here. Yesterday it was in the high 70s (around 25 Celsius) and it looks like it will stay like that for the next few days :-).

I didn't feel like making a big dinner and cooking something warm so I made a salad last night. When I did my grocery shopping on the weekend I bought tuna. I love tuna salads or sandwiches but mostly they are made with mayonnaise which I try not to eat. But I found a way of making my tuna salads/sandwiches without mayonnaise but they still tastes delicious and moisture!
Take a ripe half avocado and mash it together with the tuna, mustard and some nonfat Greek yogurt. Sprinkle some pepper over it and add as many vegetables to it as you want.
I added cucumbers, baby tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and spinach to it and topped it with some balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Voila!
